Design shopping prompts
Shopping prompts measure questions people ask when looking for products. Organize differences in use cases and purchase requirements instead of only adding paraphrases of the same question.
Organize questions by context
- Product category: What type of product is the person looking for?
- Use and requirements: Who will use it, where, and for what purpose?
- Decision stage: Research, comparison, or selecting purchase candidates
- Brand names: Category discovery versus comparisons naming specific brands
For example, “lightweight shoes for commuting in the rain” and “differences between Brand A and Brand B commuting shoes” examine different purchase contexts.
Add prompts
Follow the prompts guide to set the question, AI platforms, language, region, topics, and tags. When using generated suggestions, review whether they match the products and customer requirements before adding them.
Manage category questions separately from questions about specific products. Adding one category question does not mean every product in the catalog will appear in the answer.
Measure and review
- Run the selected prompts.
- Inspect the original answers to see which products appeared and which pages were cited.
- Review observations in the shopping overview and product details.
- Keep questions, AI platforms, language, region, and date ranges consistent when comparing results.
Read questions that name products separately from questions that do not. Differences before and after changing a question also reflect that change in conditions.
