Pull requests
Design preview: this guide describes the intended experience and includes features that are not yet available.
Pull requests bring together changes between branches and the conversations about them. GitHub is the source for PRs in GitHub mirrors.
Open a pull request
- Open the repository's pull request list.
- Select a PR to inspect.
- Check its base branch, head branch, and status.
The read integration comes first. Comment submission and merge follow once write conditions are defined.
Review changes

Select a file from the tree and read its diff. When moving between conversations and changes, check that they refer to the same PR and commit.
Comments, reviews, and merge
Before submitting a comment or review, confirm the target line, commit, and destination. Merging requires checking permissions, protected branches, Checks, conflicts, and head changes since review.
