Overview

Forge CLI gives local tools and agents access to synchronized repositories. This page defines target requirements, not a list of released commands.

From setup to use

  1. Reuse Orchestor CLI installation, updates, and version inspection.
  2. Connect browser authorization to a Git credential helper without manually copying browser cookies.
  3. Select a workspace and repository. Explicit selection takes precedence; otherwise resolve the checkout remote.
  4. Request mirror creation or synchronization and inspect the durable job.
  5. Clone/fetch through Forge HTTPS delivery and read files, history, and PRs.

Use short-lived credentials with permission, repository, and expiry checks. Decide whether Forge joins orc or uses a separate executable in the CLI contract.
