# Issue relations

Issue relations connect related tasks and describe the order in which work can proceed.

## Add a relationship

1. Open the relationship controls in an issue's details.
2. Select the relationship type.
3. Specify the target issue and add the relationship.

| Type | Purpose |
| --- | --- |
| Related | Connect tasks that should be reviewed together. |
| Blocking | Indicate that this issue is blocking the target task. |
| Duplicate | Indicate that the same work is tracked by another issue. |
| Parent | Organize the issue under a parent task. |

## Remove a relationship

Remove a relationship from the list when it is no longer needed.
