# Initiative updates

Initiative updates communicate progress toward a goal. Include a health assessment alongside the progress report.

## Post an update

1. Open the initiative.
2. Use the update button in **Overview**, or choose **Update** in **Activity**.
3. Write the update and select its health.
4. Select **Post**.

| Health | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| On track | Work is progressing as planned. |
| At risk | A concern may affect the plan. |
| Off track | Work is behind the plan. |

Health is separate from status. An active initiative can be at risk.

## View activity

Open **Activity** to review updates, comments, and property changes. Choose **Comment**, enter a message, and post it to join the discussion.
