# prompts_create

Validate prompt input and references and preview creation. This tool does not save a prompt.

**Operation:** Preview only. The authenticated hosted connection determines the workspace.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `text` | string | Yes | Prompt text. Min characters: 1; Max characters: 2000 |
| `topic_id` | string | No | Target topic ID. |
| `platforms` | string[] | No | Platform names for measurement. Min items: 1 |
| `status` | string | No | Prompt status. `active` / `disabled` |
| `preview` | boolean | No | Omit or pass true. False is rejected; the tool never saves the prompt. |
| `idempotency_key` | string | Yes | Stable identifier reused when retrying the same operation. Min characters: 1; Max characters: 236 |
