# Skills

Orchestor Skills help your agent investigate brand visibility, explain competitive differences, and decide what to improve next. Add them to Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor so the agent can choose the relevant workflow and Orchestor CLI operations for your request.

## What you can do

## Install

Select your agent and skills from the [public repository](https://github.com/orchestor-inc/skills).

Claude Code also supports the [Plugin](https://github.com/orchestor-inc/orchestor-plugin).
Choose one route for the same skills to avoid duplicates. Installation does not
authenticate Orchestor. Complete [CLI authentication](https://orchestor.io/docs/en/cli/auth.md) and run
`orc status`. MCP authentication is separate.

## Try a request

Tell your agent what to investigate and which brand or workspace to use. You do not need to know the command names.

### Compare competitors

> Compare our brand's visibility with competitors for the last 30 days. Identify the questions with the largest differences and show the AI answers behind them.

The agent aligns the period, platforms, and prompt scope, then explains differences using both metrics and saved answers.

### Improve citation coverage

> Find questions where competitors are cited and we are not. Show the cited sources and recommend three improvements in priority order.

The agent inspects cited pages and answers, separating observed facts from recommendations.

### Add a monitoring question

> Add “Which AEO tools support a small marketing team?” as a draft prompt. Do not run a measurement yet.

The agent checks for duplicates and returns the new prompt's ID and configuration. New measurements and recurring monitoring stay within the requested scope.

Each skill includes its own references and works independently. Install only what you need.

## Compose and improve

Parent workflows combine resource skills. Start from the [composition example](https://github.com/orchestor-inc/skills/blob/main/skills/orchestor-aeo-workflows/references/composition.md) and refine it from actual work. Use an existing authoring skill:

## Update and remove

For skills CLI installations, use its standard commands. Review local edits before updating.

npx skills@latest update
npx skills@latest remove orchestor-reports
```

`orc setup skills` installs the version bundled with the installed CLI. GitHub
skill updates and CLI binary releases are separate. Use the client's native
update feature for Plugin installations.
